Tips from a top Dubai make-up artist

Ever wondered what’s inside a top make-up artist’s beauty bag? Now is your chance to find out as Angélique Turner, one of the region’s leading names in the industry, lets us take a peek at her everyday beauty essentials.

After spending the last nine years in Dubai honing her craft and painting the faces of everyone from brides to TV presenters and even a few big-name stars, the Australian-born pro also regularly hosts sold-out masterclasses to help educate and encourage women to embrace a more positive self-image. 

“I want women to feel more confident in their daily dealings, whether that be in the boardroom, giving presentations for their businesses or at social functions with friends and family,” says Angélique. “I’ve been overwhelmed by the response the classes are getting.”

On plans for the future, Angélique reveals: “I’d love to be based between the US and Dubai and eventually move back to Australia to work on educating the next generation of make-up artists. I’m also focused on products that don’t test on animals and starting to learn more about clean beauty, so perhaps I could create a line of my own.”
