City Centre Beirut, member of Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa, lit up the Christmas tree in celebration of the festive season ahead in the presence of H.E. Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Alain Hakim and TV Anchor Anabella Hilal;

H.E. Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Alain Hakim expressed his contentment towards this celebration stating: “I would like to recognize Majid Al Futtaim properties’ determination to invest in Lebanon and continually partake in projects that lead to activity within the economic sector. The lighting of a Christmas tree represents the start of a very positive season, which I hope will be reflected on the sector; especially in light of the presence of our newly elected president.”

In his turn, Mr. Sleiman Mallat senior mall manager declared: “The ceremony of lighting the Christmas tree is a milestone occasion for us that signifies the beginning of the holiday season at City Centre Beirut. There is a lot of joy and happiness that comes with the festivities and we are happy to be at the centre of it all, creating great moments for the entire family.”

Members of the press, bloggers, online influencers, as well as partners and tenants gathered to witness the burst of light fill the centre as the Christmas decorations were lit. The tunes of the majestic choir created a warm ambiance with the Christmas carols being sung; as a parade led by Santa Claus and his elves roamed around distributing gifts to children whose faces lit up with joy.
